Catie Calderon has always had a passion for writing, but due to her inability to keep her opinions to herself, has taken a fancy to writing various music reviews for the paper. Born and raised in La Salle, she graduated from LPHS in spring of 2013 and went on to IVCC to figure out exactly what she wanted to do with her life. It took a shorter amount of time than she figured, and now she plans on studying Creative Writing at one of three colleges: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Knox College, or Northwestern University. Afterward picking where to transfer and graduating from there, she hopes to receive a Master’s in Library Science and take that to the Smithsonian in Washington, DC.
