Lisa Chounard, IV Leader Staff Writer
Three years ago Lisa Chounard was in an abusive relationship, a single mom, and surviving on disability in government housing. Her first year at IVCC she has maintained a 3.75 GPA and is on the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Roll. Lisa won both 1st and 3rd in the 2016 MLK essay contest, she plans on being an investigative journalist when she graduates. She says IVCC has given her a second chance.
