A WELCOME BACK FROM THE TRUSTEE

Matthew Klein, Student Trustee

Welcome back. Hello everyone, and welcome to the fall semester.

First, I am very happy you chose to enroll at Illinois Valley Community College, it is a decision you will not regret.

Now, I am sure many of you are nervous about taking this first step in your life, and that is completely normal. I was in the same position just a year ago.

The best way to meet wonderful people and to make the most of your time is to get involved. Getting involved in IVCC’S  clubs and activities introduces you to people with all kinds of backgrounds.

With a new semester starting, you have probably already made a new friend. If you have not yet, what are you waiting for? This is your chance to make friends and relationships that will last a lifetime.

Say hello to students in the halls, be kind to others, and start conversations with someone new. I think you’ll be surprised with how far a simple ” good morning” can go.

Student’s voices are crucial, and as the student trustee I will make sure your voices are heard, as I attend the IVCC board meeting every month.

I will ensure your concerns are not ignored, and should you ever have a concern or question, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am more that willing to help every single one of you.

Feel free to find me in the student Government Office or email me at [email protected] with any concerns or questions you may have. In addition, students can now submit any feedback they may have to the IVCC feedback Form, which can be found at https://www.ivcc.edu/studentservices/feedback.php. Students, I hope you have a wonderful semester here at IVCC.
