Mackenzie Brady of La Salle has been elected freshman representative of the Illinois Valley Community College Student Government Association following recent freshman elections.

Isabel Pozzi of Dalzell and Chelsea Piper of Princeton were elected to the freshman programming board.

“I was pleased with the turnout of voters. It is great when we have contested races, and this year we had eight people running for three positions,” said Cory Tomasson, student activities coordinator. “We have a tremendous group of soph-omores already in place and these freshman will be able to come right in and get started.”

A total of 148 ballots were cast in the election.
