TEACHing respect

TEACH Unified is a student-led group here at IVCC. Its purpose is to “spark an awareness of child-related behaviors, interests, and issues within the college, community, the state, and throughout the nation.”

This month they are focusing on their respect campaign. The theme this year is “Respect is Golden.” On Feb. 12 and Feb. 13, the Respect Campaign was hosted in the Student Life Center where students pledged to be respectful and signed the banner that was present.

Feb. 13 was Respect Night at the home basketball game, so students wore gold to show support for this cause.

If anyone is interested in getting involved with TEACH, the next meetings will be at 2:15 on March 5 and April 2 in the ECE Resource Center in Room D-209.
