Preparing for the future at College and Career Night

Illinois Valley Community College recently hosted College and Career Night Tuesday Oct. 5 which allowed students and their families to learn more about educational and career opportunities.

A financial aid session was held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Cultural Centre with the fair being held from 6:30-8 p.m. in the gymnasium. Students were able to meet representatives from colleges, universities, and branches of the Armed Forces.

“I thought it went very well and it was such a great opportunity for students and families to learn more about their college and vocational options,” stated Aseret Loveland, Assistant Director of Admissions, Records, and Transfer Services. “We had over 40 colleges and career reps. attend the event.”
