The first day at school can often feel overwhelming, but for international students it’s more than just a new school that they step into, a new language, culture and a chance to make their home away from home. I, as an international student, experienced it firsthand, it was a different environment than what i was used to.
Every year IVCC opens its doors international student who come here seeking an education, but being an international student comes with its own challenges such as adapting to your new surroundings, learning a new language, and a change in lifestyle, but IVCC has been super helpful with this, the people in the community, they have an international club on campus where they can be able to join, connect with other students and be able to adapt quicker
Rutger Noordegraaf from Netherlands said, “So far being an international student has been a truly wonderful experience; I have met amazing people here and friends for life. The school and team have treated me amazingly, not once in my almost 2 years here have, I felt like I have been left out. Of course, I miss my family and friends back home, but being surrounded by the great people here make it a lot easier
Jakob Stumm from Germany said, “Like a community, to make friends with people from other parts of the world
IVCC has helped a lot with making the transition quite smooth and effortless by the many staff workers that work here at the international club, and especially the people in the community. We do not feel left out but instead we feel at home.
