NBA Eastern Conference Playoff predictions

Logan Bland, Sports columnist

  1. Boston Celtics: Jayson Tatum is playing even better than last season and the defense is stout.
  2. Milwaukee Bucks: Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best player in the world. When you have that on your basketball team, you won’t lose many games. If this team is healthy, they may win the title
  3. Cleveland Cavaliers: I was a bit skeptical on this team because I wanted to see Darius Garland take that second leap to superstardom and what the defense would look like, and he has done that.
  4. Miami Heat: They are struggling early, but a team led by Jimmy Butler and as deep as this team is they will figure it out.
  5. Philadelphia 76ers: Tyreese Maxey is out for a while with a fractured foot, but I believe Joel Embiid can carry this team for as long as he needs to until they are back and healthy.
  6. Atlanta Hawks: This team is sick: Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, John Collins are part of a deep team, and we’ve seen a worse Hawks team make a conference finals run in 2021 but I’m not sure this is a repeat.
  7. Toronto Raptors: Another team that is stumbling right now but this team is talented on both ends of the floor and will find their way in.
  8. Indiana Pacers: A shocker. Assuming they do not deal away players like Chris Duarte, Buddy Hield, or Myles Turner they are going to win ball games. Tyrese Haliburton is really a game changer for this franchise.
