Men’s Tennis nearing the homestretch of short regular season

Jacob Steinberg, IV Leader Sports Co-Editor

The IVCC Men’s Tennis team is past the three-quarter mark of their regular season.

Through six games, their record stands at 2-4 overall. The team started the year 0-3 but won two out of their last three meets to improve their record. The squad lost a lot of talent from last season, with only one returnee.

The Eagles lost their most recent meet on April 20 against the College of Lake County by a score of 9-0. There are two more meetings coming up against Knox College and Elgin Community College.

The last home meet is this Sunday at the LaSalle-Peru High School Sports Complex in LaSalle. That will officially start their post-season.

The team is coached by Julie Milota.
