Basketball nears end of season stretch

As the 2016-17 basketball season approaches its close, the IVCC Eagles and Lady Eagles hope to hold pace down the stretch.
Both teams feature versatile high scoring offenses, but they have both been struggling to put up wins as of late.
On the men’s side, the team has one lone win since the beginning of 2017 a home high scoring affair against rival Kishwaukee College 97-88.
A heroic double-double effort from freshman Keymonta Johnson helped guide the team to victory. As the season winds down, the Eagles hope to get
back on track and finish strong.
The Lady Eagles have a similar story to the men’s squad. With their stellar starting five, and a sporadic spread out effort from the bench, they were able to start the season an impressive 7-0. Since then however, they have gone 5-9.
With seven and eight games left for the women’s and men’s teams respectively in the regular season, the teams hope to build on their strengths, as well as quell any weaknesses they have to finish strong.
