As the IVCC golf season comes to a close, one member is looking to the spring. Baley Lehr qualified for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament this past weekend with a great three-day tournament total of 233.

Lehr shot 76, 79, and 78 over the three days to make his way into the event. Lehr will be traveling to Goose Pond Colony in Scottsboro, Ala., this upcoming spring to participate in the National Tournament.

Overall, the 2014 golf season was a successful one for the Eagles who finished the year with two top-three finishes and only two finishes lower than ninth. Baley Lehr, Dane Lehr, and Hunter Schultz led the way in individual scoring throughout the year which helped contribute to the strong finishes.

The team traveled to many different courses and clubs throughout the year including Emerald Hills Golf Club in Sterling, Lake Braken Country Club in Galesburg, Prairie View Golf Club in Byron, and Park Hills Golf Club in Freeport. The team also played their home meets at Deer Park Country Club in Oglesby and Senica’s in La Salle.
