Eagles golfers hit the links for spring season

The IVCC golf team hit the links this spring and kicked off part two of their season.

The squad started off strong this spring. They kicked off their stint with a fourth place finish in Byron Hills.

Baley Lehr led the way with a 73, while Hunter Schultz and Austin Walker both finished with a score of 82. Host team, Black Hawk College won the tournament with a team score of 285, and IVCC finished with a team score of 323.

The guys hit the road once again and headed to Freeport where the team improved from their first meet with a second place finish.

Lehr led the way once again with a 74 score while Schultz (82), Walker (85) and Kyle Chase (86) were right behind him. Black Hawk College won this event with a team score of 300.

The Eagles finally got to play at their own nest during their next meet and placed second once again at Oak Ridge Golf Club in La Salle.

Lehr had another strong outing with a 77, Schultz and Chase scored 83’s. Walker had a solid 87 score and Alex Shanley scored a 98 for the Eagles. Black Hawk College won this event with a team score of 310. The golf team will head back to Freeport this week.
