The IVCC Golf team recently completed its season at the 10-team Region IV Tournament with a three-day score of 994, which was good for sixth place.

Sophomore Michael Walker shot a team-low 242, followed closely by sophomore Alex Harrison, who had a team-low round of 74 on Day 1, with a score of 243.

Tanner Galeyn shot 251 and Tyler Dobrich shot 258 to complete the scoring.

The tournament was held Oct. 4-6 at Prairie View Golf Course in Byron and won by Black Hawk College.

In other recent action, IVCC finished with a 336 at the Sauk Valley Invitational in Sterling on Sept. 21.

IVCC was led by Tanner Galeyn’s 79 while Alex Harrison and Tyler Dobrich shot 80 and 82 respectively. Black Hawk won the event with a score of 313.

On Sept. 28, IVCC finished 11th in the 15-team field at the Prairie View Invitational also held in Byron.

IVCC finished with a score of 333 led by Tanner Galeyn’s 79. Michael Walker and Alex Harrison both shot 82. Tyler Dobrich completed the scoring with a score of 90. Black Hawk finished with a score of 307 to win the event.
