IVCC’s annual commencement ceremony will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16 in the gymnasium.
Students who graduated in summer or fall of 2025, and spring of 2026 are able to walk. Students who have 6 or less credit hours to complete in the summer are also able to participate.
For those who are unable to attend in person, there will be a livestream of the ceremony at this link www.ivcc.edu/commencement.
Nearly 800 students have qualified for graduation with degrees or certificates awarded, and about 250
plan to attend the official commencement ceremony.
Students will hear from the winner of the Paul Simon Essay Contest, McKinzie Tarbox. Tarbox will share her winning essay with those at the event.
The main commencement speaker is Zulma Guzman, a 2019 IVCC graduate who is now an assistant vice president/commercial credit underwriter at Bank of America.
After IVCC, Guzman attended and graduated from DePaul University.
