IVCC students can receive money for school just by meeting requirements and filling out forms.
This is all possible because of the IVCC Foundation. The deadline for the Foundation Scholarship application is Feb. 5, and almost all students are eligible.
So far in the 2025-2026 school year, the foundation has awarded 320 scholarships on 570 applications, with $375,000 being awarded to students in total, according to Donna Swiskoski from the Foundation office.
For the 2026-2027 school year, students must apply by Feb. 5 for scholarship amounts ranging from $500 to $4,500. Students can earn multiple scholarships by filling out the one form that is available online from the Foundation website.
The requirements of the scholarships could be academic based, sport based or even based on where one is from.
The scholarship form has three short answer statements that must be completed involving educational and professional goals, involvement and community service, and financial need/special circumstances.
This personal statement, according to Swiskoski, is one of the biggest factors in the decisions of who will be awarded scholarships.
IVCC Foundation scholarships are created by donors who provide money for scholarships for IVCC students. These donors can range from IVCC alumni, community figures, business owners, and more people who have a connection to IVCC or want to help. These donors donate money for their own specific scholarship; this scholarship will have the requirements of the donors’ choosing.
Each fall, scholarships have the opportunity to meet donors at the annual scholarship recognition ceremoney.
