It is important to stay on track with your classes in or-der to reach your long-term goals. In order to be successful with your academics, you must be prepared when selecting your classes at IVCC.

It is important to look over the courses that IVCC offers and familiarize yourself with the ones you may be interested in taking and it is equally as important to meet with a counselor for assistance when setting up classes.

Registration for spring classes began on Wednesday, Nov. 3 with many options. Online registration was available at 9 a.m. and in-person/phone began at 10 a.m.

Students are encouraged to consult with a counselor prior to each semester to help schedule their courses.

The counselors will assist students with program reviews, course sequences, and their semester schedules. Their focus is to help the students with their career decision-making process and to help them select the correct educational programs that will allow them to follow their chosen career path.

Counselors are located in CTC 202 or can be contacted at (815) 224-0360 to set up an appointment.

To learn more about registration and meeting with a counselor visit the Counseling and Advising webpage at ivcc.edu/counseling or to view and learn more about courses available visit the IVCC Course Catalog at catalog.ivcc.edu/courses.

For any questions or assistance, a student can contact the Student Help Desk and learn more about the preferred sections in WebAdvisor, [email protected] or call (815) 224-0318. Students can also visit the Academic Support Center in A201 for help with planning their course work.

There are several counselors to contact, students can visit the webpage and click on “Meet the Counselors” where each counselor gives a little background about themselves and offers advice to students.

Each counselor encourages students to get to know them and suggest they build a relationship with one or several of them.

Registration for spring classes is open. The time is now to register. Remember you are responsible for your academic plan. Register today!
