Atheism program scheduled
Atheism program scheduledIllinois Valley Community College’s Diversity Team presents “Atheism: Biases, Myths and Realities” led by philosophy and religious studies instructor Dr. Jason Beyer from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16 in C316 in honor of Friedrich Nietzsche’s birthday.This event is free and open to the public. Drug education program planned
Illinois Valley Community College’s Diversity Team presents a free Overdose Awareness educational discussion from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 in rooms CTC124-125. The public is invited to attend the event sponsored by Buddy’s Purpose and Dare2Care, non-profit organizations dedicated to saving people’s lives and supporting addicts and their families in our communities. One Room sets meetings
One Room, an IVCC club for students who were home schooled or who have a nontraditional primary or secondary school background, meets from 2 to 4 p.m. every other Friday in the Fireplace Lounge, Room B216.For information, contact faculty advisor Mike Pecherek, who also is an IVCC music instructor.
