Human Services members attend Iowa conference
Illinois Valley Community College’s Human Services Organization members recently attended the spring conference for the Midwest Organization of Human Services in Ankeny, Iowa.
At the conference, sophomore Nicole Doran of Peru presented the group’s collaborative effort “A Journey Toward Empathy: The Life of a Client.”
Faculty advisor Jean Batson-Turner said, “This conference provided excellent professional development opportunities for the students who found the workshops and keynote presentation insightful, engaging and informative.”

IVCC’s chapter of the HSO serves the Illinois Valley as a hands-on resource working to develop partnerships with related human services and social welfare organizations in the community.
