Psych Club promotes Movember activities
Movember is here!
IVCC’s Psych Club supports this annual moustache-growing event to raise awareness and support research, treatment and prevention of men’s health issues.
Both men and women can participate in men’s health issues, according to Betsy Klopcic, psychology instructor and advisor for the club.
The us.movember.com Web site explains, “Mo Bros take action by changing their appearance by growing a moustache for the 30 days of Movember, to spark conversation and raise funds.
“Mo Sistas commit to supporting the men in their lives while helping to promote men’s health.”
Psych Club members are asking to students to accept the Movember challenge.
Want to find out how to check for testicular cancer? Would you like to view a prostate exam on live TV? If so, see the Movember site, located under “Events” on IVCC’s home page, for links and other postings all month long.
The club also will have tables in the lobby to promote events.
