PTK meetings set
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society for the two-year college that is awarded for academic excellence of a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 and the completion of at least 12 hours of course work at IVCC.
Membership is by invitation only and initiation is generally conducted twice each year.
Phi Theta Kappa general membership meeting times this semester are as follows:  Monday, Sept. 24, noon-1p.m. in C-325; Tuesday, Sept. 25, 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. in C-105A;  Monday, Oct. 29, noon-1p.m. in C-105A; Tuesday, Oct. 30, 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. in C-316; Monday, Nov. 26, noon-1p.m. in C-105A; Tuesday, Nov. 27, C-105A.

Bookstore buyback planned
Students may sell books back at the bookstore from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Blood drive scheduled
Anyone interested in saving lives?! IVCC is having an Annual Blood/Bone Marrow Drive on Thursday, Oct. 11 in the college gym from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Students can sign up at the IVCC front lobby on Sept. 17, 18, & 19 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Those donating are asked to remember to eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water prior to donating.

Gay/Straight Alliance to meet
Gay/Straight Allians has several meetings scheduled for this semester.
All daytime meetings will be from noon to q p.m. in C-105A.
Meeting dates are Oct. 3, Oct. 31, Nov. 14, Jan. 30, Feb. 27, March 27 and May 1.
The May 1 meeting also will be a luncheon.
Evening meetings are from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Mondays in C-105A.
Monday evening meetings are Sept. 17, Oct. 15, Dec. 3, Feb. 11 and April 15.
