Activities planned for Spirit Day
September 4, 2012
A number of activities have been planned for Spirit Day, which is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
This event will be hosted in the courtyard this year due to the recent construction at IVCC.
Everything taking place will be free to the students, and some of the events include wax hands, making your own street sign, tie-dye shirts, three caricature artists, airbrush tattoos, sand art, and music.
Cory Tomasson, advisor of the Student Government Association, says, “[Spirit Day] is a recruiting tool to get the students involved.”
He said that it “introduces students to organizations.”
In fact, at least 40 organizations will have tables set up at Spirit Day with information about their clubs and how students can get involved.
There will also be popcorn, ice cream, cotton candy, and pizza in the cafeteria, as well as water and soda, all free of charge.
