Jazz Ensemble course offered

Illinois Valley Community College will offer a Jazz Ensemble course (HLR-5116-301) 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday’s starting Jan. 10 in Room D 223.
The 18-session course provides a study of style and techniques in the jazz idiom and is open to all wind instrument players as well as piano, guitar, bass and drum set players. Students will also participate in public performances throughout the semester.
A prerequisite of performance ability on a wind instrument, piano, guitar, bass or drum set is required and students must own their own instrument. Late enrollments will be accepted.
No class will be held March 27. Cost of the course is $25. Students wishing to earn one credit hour for successful completion of this course should register for (MUP-1004-300) and the tuition fee when taking for credit is $88.52.
