Men’s tennis loses to Elgin

The men’s tennis team dropped an April 22 match to Elgin Community College 6-3.

IVCC recorded wins at No.2  doubles with the play of John Poulakos and Eric Bickett.

Solo play wins went to Anthony Condie at No. 2 and Erick Bickett at No. 4.

The Sunday match was IVCC’s final home meet of the season. The men’s and women’s tennis teams play their home contests at Hegeler Park in La Salle since the campus does not have a tennis court.

The men’s team is coached by Lukas Burkon and Bonnie Petersen coaches the women’s team in the fall.

The meet could be the last for Eagles’ tennis at the board is set to decide on May 15 whether to cut the programs.
