Top two Eagles golfers signed

Illinois Valley Community College’s top two golfers will be teeing up for Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee next fall.
Baley Lehr and Hunter Schultz signed their letters of intent to play golf for Cardinal Stritch on Saturday, April 4.

The Cardinal Stritch golf team is coached by Tim Eckberg, an IVCC alumni and former Eagle golfer. Lehr and Schultz were also accompanied at the ceremony by IVCC coach Jim Lukosus.

The spring golf season kicked off April 14 with a meet against Carl Sandburg College at Lake Bracken C.C. in Galesburg.
The season continues through May 6 with the National Tournament happening at the end of May.

Even with Lehr and Schultz’s departure, the Eagles team still has plenty of talent left in the wings and is expected to compete for a regional title and hopes to send players to the National Tournament at Goose Pond C.C. in Scottsboro, Ala.
