The Eagles won big in the season
opener Nov. 2 with a final score of 90-
54 over the Lewis University Club team.
Sophomore Ross Arteaga, a Mendota
graduate, led all scorers with 16 points.
Sophomore Lamont Adair added 12
points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Freshman Torrance Johnson and Dominique
Chandler also contributed with
13 points each.
Sophomore Quenton Lowe provided
some fire power off the bench with 9
points and dished off four assists as well.
Freshman Jimmy David got in on the
action and finished with 7 points.
Prior to the home-opener, the team
played four preseason games and seventh-
year coach Tommy Canale is happy
with what he saw from his team.
“I am very excited from what we saw
out of the team,” Canale said. “Each guy
can help us be successful in the regular
season.”
When asked about the team’s goals
and expectations for the season, Canale
said, “To get off to a good start and build
on it from there.”
