South Suburban college will be travelling to the Illinois Valley to play the Eagles on Jan. 7.
The women’s game will be at 1 pm. In their last contest, the women won at home against Elgin on Jan. 3 behind a dominating performance by sophomore Julie Haye, who scored 24 points. The Lady Eagles look to carry the momentum from that win and the previous win versus Lenoir in Washington, DC at the Prince George Classic.
The men will play at 3 pm against the 32nd ranked team in the country. The South Suburban men are currently undefeated at 15-0 and will prove to be a difficult matchup. Look for Eagles guard Michael Murray to have a big game coming back from injury. He did return last week against Elgin on Dec. 29 and put up 8 points. Nathan Ropp and Alec Schwab could also put up big numbers for the Eagles in their bid for an upset.
Pack the gymnasium and support your Eagles. Students get in free with their Student ID cards.
