Hello, fellow Eagles! Sept. 15 was IVCC’s 90th birthday.

IVCC President Jerry Corcoran, state senators Sue Rezin, Darin LaHood, and state Rep. Frank Mautino were all in attendance. Each of these respected men and women had nothing but positive stories on how the community college system has impacted their families.

O.J. Stoutner, IVCC’s Foundation president, also spoke at the celebration.

I was extremely impressed by the fact that he announced that all 240 applicants who applied for a scholarship through our Foundation Office for the 2014-2015 school year were able to receive some amount of assistance.

Cake, cookies, and punch were all served after the small celebration.

I was very honored to be asked to speak at such a memorable event honoring our college’s history. I am privileged to serve our student’s and our ever-changing needs.
