Do you know……the staff at the Ottawa Center? Do you know…..Sue Isermann? Do you know…….Jeannette Frahm? Do you know counselor…… Valery Calvetti? Do you know Information Specialists …. Ed Decker, Vicky Jackson and Lori Carbone?              Do you know the staff at the IVCC Ottawa Center? Well, if you don’t get a chance to go to the IVCC Ottawa Center and would like to know a little something about the great people who help everyone out, here they are.

Sue Isermann: Sue is the administrator for the Ottawa Center.   Not only that, she is also the associate vice-president for Academic Affairs and the dean of Workforce Development. This is Sue’s 33rd year at IVCC.  She was part-time faculty for two years, full-time computer science faculty for 15 years and now 16 years in administration.  Sue lives on her family’s farm in rural Streator.  Sue wears many hats at IVCC, along with helping us out at the Ottawa Center when we are short staffed. So you may see Sue at the front desk on occasion filling in for us here! Jeannette Frahm: Jeannette is the coordinator for the Ottawa Center and has worked full-time for IVCC for the past 13 years.  Jeannette is very knowledgeable when it comes to any question you may have about the college or the Ottawa Center, specifically. Jeannette came to IVCC in 2000 to work for the offices of Continuing Education and Career Education.  Jeannette has a bachelor’s degree in fine art and a master’s degree in management.  Jeannette is also a part-time faculty member and has been enjoying teaching at IVCC for the past seven years.  . Frahm lives in Streator, but previously lived in Missouri, Tennessee, Iowa, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Valery Calvetti: Valery is our resident counselor at the IVCC Ottawa Center. Valery has been here since the startup of the Ottawa Center as well. She has taken classes as a student, served as an adjunct faculty member; Education to Careers coordinator; counselor; interim Career Services coordinator; Community Relations and Marketing director; and Project Success counselor. She loves, loves, loves working with our students as they embark on new career paths, helps them navigate the collegiate process and joins in the Ottawa Center celebrations with gusto. Valery is at the Ottawa Center on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s — just call 815-224-0800 to make an appointment with Valery and she will be happy to help you with your scheduling, your classes, and educational needs.

Ottawa Center Information Specialists Three part-time Information Specialists work at the IVCC Ottawa Center; we have two who work during the day and one evening specialist who are on duty to help with questions or any needs you may have.

Ed Decker: A native of West Virginia, Ed has been with the Ottawa Center since April 2011 as one of our daytime Information Specialists.  With a bachelor’s degree from Marshall University, his journeys have taken him to Kroger Co., Tandy Corp., and Nationwide Insurance – just a few of the more notable firms for which he has worked.  He began with IVCC at the main campus in the Learning Commons as an Academic Technology/computer lab assistant.  Ed specializes in helping with technology at the Ottawa Center, though he is capable in a number of areas.  Ed is glad to help with whatever questions you may have.  He lives in Ottawa with his wife and dog.  Vicky Jackson: Vicky is our evening information specialist.  Vicky has been here at the Ottawa Center since April 2011. Stop by the front desk and say hello to Vicky, if you have a question she will be happy to help. Lori Carbone: Lori is a 2010 graduate of IVCC with an associate’s degree in Business Administration and an associate’s degree in Marketing. After graduating Lori took a semester off and then decided to return to school to work on getting her bachelor’s degree. She started working at IVCC as a student worker in the Learning Commons in May of 2011. She also worked at the IVCC Ottawa Center as a student worker as a computer lab assistant before becoming a part-time Information Specialist at the IVCC Ottawa Center in August 2012.  If you have any questions about WebAdvisor, she is the one to ask.  She is always happy to help you with any questions or assist you with your needs. Lori is from Streator where she lives with her husband.
