A new course is available at IVCC. IVCC will now be offering a Cannabis Production program. This program offers a Cannabis Production Certificate, and an Advanced Cannabis Production Certificate.

Students who earn this certificate will study fundamentals of cannabis production, and the economics and legal issues that are associated with hemp and marijuana production.

Cannabis Production students will be applying agronomic techniques in pest management and soil fertility to cannabis cultivation practices. If students choose to earn the Advanced Certificate, they will learn about management practices that are a part of the agricultural business.

IVCC Ag has partnered with Mid-American Growers, who will provide internships to students in the Cannabis Production Certificate program. Career Options for this field include Cultivation Technician, Budtender, Lab Assistant, Sales Associate, Packaging Agent, Trimmer, and many more
