Change to Martin Luther King Writing Contest
It is no longer a contest, in that places and monetary awards will no longer be issued. Instead, students are encouraged to submit any writing about any aspect of Civil Rights or Liberties for review by a panel.
Any student who submits an entry that addresses the topic appropriately will be invited to read that entry at a writers’ panel reception. There is also the option to have their submissions published in the River Currents WordPress. The desire to make this change came from the students, so we hope that this will encourage more students to participate.
