IVCC’s 48th annual Commencement ceremony will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 17 in the gymnasium.
All students who graduated in August 2013, December 2013, or will graduate in May 2014 are invited to participate in Commencement 2014. Additionally, students who have one or two classes to complete in the summer are eligible to walk in the ceremony.
All students participating in Commencement will receive tickets for friends and family. The ceremony will also be available on the IVCC Web site via live stream for family members who are not able to attend.
Commencement practice is slated for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14 in the main lobby.
According to Mark Grzybowsi, interim associate vice president for Student Services, practice will last no longer than an hour and will be used to familiarize students with the event, how to line up, and to provide the correct pronunciation of their names. Contact the Student Services Office at 815-224-0361 if you are not able to attend practice.
Graduates will receive a letter with the live stream information, information on tickets, and where to pick up their caps and gowns.
