Tibetologist Glenn Mullin returns to Illinois Valley Community College to present “Easy Enlightenment,” a film and lecture, at noon Friday, April 4 in Room C-316. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Over the centuries, the Dalai Lamas of Tibet put together guidelines concerning what a person should do in order to reach enlightenment. The film and lecture will cover these guidelines and a question and answer session will follow.
Mullin, a Buddhist writer who has authored 25 books on Central Asian culture, spends half the year on lecture tour and leading pilgrimages in Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and Mongolia, and the other half of the year in Mongolia writing and riding horses, camels and motorcycles.
Mullin will have copies of his books available for purchase and signing after the presentation.
