The IVCC Diversity Team is accepting submissions for the 2014 Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay Contest. The contest is open to any IVCC student (full or part-time).

Submissions can be in any style of writing, and can address any aspect of either contemporary or historical civil rights movements or issues.

The top three entries will receive cash prizes; and the winners will get to publicly present their work at a public ceremony near the end of Black History Month.

Any submissions should be made to [email protected], and should include the author’s name, email address and phone number. Submissions are due Friday, Feb. 7.
