IVCC’s education department and future educator’s group, TEACH, has joined with Project Unify to raise awareness of disability-related issues.

Project Unify is a national project, funded by the U.S. Department of Education.  The goal is to get youth, with and without disabilities, to work together to foster change and promote dignity for people with cognitive disabilities.

IVCC hopes to work with L-P, another Project Unify school, and get students involved with local and regional Special Olympic and community awareness events.  At  sign-up, IVCC was the first and only Project Unify community college in the state.  IVCC’s TEACH group is partnered with other state schools  in this Project Unify group.
