IVCC’s choir will begin holding rehearsals Aug. 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in room B223 under the direction of Norm Engstrom. Rehearsals will be Mondays and are open to anyone in the IVCC district who wants to join.

“I like to work with different types of music and in the fall term it is mostly related to the Christmas season. This year I plan on having the choir sing music from many different historical periods and feature a wide variety of musical styles,” Engstrom said.

A concert is tentatively scheduled for late November or early December.

There is no fee for participating and students could be eligible for college credit. For any information or questions contact Engstrom at 815-224-0279 or show up at any rehearsal. There is no rehearsal on Labor Day, Sept. 3.
