The Eagles Men’s Golf Team placed ninth out of 11 teams during its inaugural outing Aug. 20 at the Aldeen Preview Tournament.

IVCC scored 362 as a team, while top finisher Black Hawk College notched 311. Top individual scorers were Dan Lehr, 87, Austin Craft, 88, Joe Dudek ,92, Brandon Godfrey ,95, and Marvin Pflibsen, 98.

Asked how he thought the rest of the season will go, freshman Joe Dudeck responded:

“I hope to have a consistent season and see what college golf is like. My teammates and I get along and we have the potential to be a solid team.”

The team is starting the year after losing several of its 2014-15 foundation to graduation. “With the majority of the team being freshmen, I think there is only room to improve in all aspects of the game,” Dudek said. “My goals for the season are to just play the best I can every time out and help my team place high in tournaments.”

The Eagles’ next match is Friday, Sept. 4, in Dixon.
